Music Director Julie Signitzer holds a Masters degree in violin performance and did post-graduate studies at the Mozarteum Conservatory in Salzburg, Austria. After four years as a member of the Mozarteum Orchestra, Julie moved to New York to work as a freelance violinist. She has performed with dozens of orchestras and opera companies and has toured extensively with a variety of pop performers, including Frank Sinatra. Julie was described as "zestful" by the New York Times in a review of her performance in Hot Klezmer, an off-Broadway show. She plays regularly with the Glimmerglass Opera Orchestra, the Cayuga Chamber Orchestra, the Albany Symphony, and the Northeastern Pennsylvania Philharmonic. Julie is a member of the Catskill Klezmorim and is founder and director of the Little Delaware Chamber Players and the Little Delaware Youth Ensemble. Signitzer is an adjunct professor of violin at the State University of New York College at Oneonta.
